Most e-smokers use a blend of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol. PG/VG Ratios for e-liquid mixing and other variables can be set using the Ejuice Me Up Calculator for Windows Platforms. A PG/VG Ratio of 50/50 is recommended to start with but depends on your device type. Subohm vapers will normally use 40/60 PG/VG or 30/70 depending on the amount of vapor clouds and taste preferred. More PG will ensure more flavor since it transports the flavor better than VG.
Vegetable glycerin-based E-liquids usually contain at least 80% and as much as 92% Vegetable glycerin. This is the ingredient that produces the smoke-like vapor when the personal vaporizer is exhaled. Approximately 20% of all e-liquids on the market today are vegetable glycerin based. Vegetable glycerin typically produces more vapor production than propylene glycol but has reduced throat hit and flavor transport. It is also slightly more viscous (thicker) and slightly sweeter than propylene glycol.
